Maria Remedios

Her name was María Remedios
and she was born in the San Telmo neighborhood.
She was a warrior of independence
and in heroic moments she showed her courage.
She was in love with an arribeño,

died in the church, close to the viceroy.

After a few years of sad memories
he left his homeland with a battalion.

with boots, spurs and great chiripá.
